Quilt Show at Barbara’s Home
My sister Barbara is turning her home into a Quilt Show this Saturday.
If you are in the area of Bridgewater, Virginia swing by her place and take in the Show.
Her quilts will be displayed outside as well as all through her home. It should be a fun day of going behind the scenes of this Master Quilter. The Virginia Quilt Museum will be serving refreshments. The tour will cost $15.00 per person and the money will go to the Quilt Museum.
This quilt is on the front of Barbara’s book “Star Stuck Quilts”.
I wish so bad I could be two places at once. Mark and I will be going to a wedding here in Delaware that day. I told Barbara to take lots of pictures of the day so hopefully I can share some with you later.

This week has been full of a lot of different activities. Our nursing home is full so several evenings and nights we have done some elderly care here in our home. Mark does most of that work and I just make sure the beds are clean and laundry done.
One day I invited Dorie and James for a Grandma Movie day. I had picked up a cute little movie at the thrift store and I knew it was one of Dorie’s favorite characters. Stitch.
Pop-corn and juice for our snack while we watched our movie.
Timmy, sidetracking James there for a minute.
My form of “multi-tasking” while making supper!
Enjoying the DVD’s I posted about last time. They are great.
The Shrimp Chowder turned out fine in spite of me watching and peeling at the same time.

I would love to go to Barbara’s quilt show! Will only quilts that she has made be on display?
I love your multi-tasking. I’d try that if I thought I could get away with it.
The Quilt show sounds interesting. Be sure to post pictures. I am sure she has some outstanding quilts.
Shrimp chowder sounds so delicious! And I would run right up there to Barbara’s quilt show. . . but I am taking a table runner class at a local quilt shop Saturday. I, too, wish I could be in two places at once!
Would love to borrow the videos. Multitasking is getting harder for me the older I get. Could just squeeze those two little ones.
Oh thank you for posting the multitasking pictures! I love that, AND Dorie’s curls.
You are so funny. I’m afraid I would have gotten sidetracked and the chowder would have taken twice as long to make. I love the picture of Timmy sidetracking James!
If I lived close to VA I’d be there to see those beautiful quilts! Your chowder sounds so delicious — and made while multi-tasking — wow! Your grandchildren are so sweet!
Hey Mom! Thanks for the post…it was cute
. You interested in having a quilt show at your house like Aunt Barbara?
I wish I could’ve gone to Barbara’s quilt show!! I hope it was a success. I’m a little surprised that your veggies weren’t quilt blocks before they became soup
Picking out a prom dress can be as official as selecting a dress for any wedding. It calls for a lot of preparing right from the type of dress, the fabric, the size, the colour, how to order this, the add-ons with the gown, and so on. You will find special shops that specialize in the actual designing associated with designer prom dresses. These types of stores have collections through popular creative designers like Alfred Angelo, Alyce Styles, Attitudes, Cachet, Cassandra Rock, Forever Your own, Glam Gurlz, Haley Nicole, Jasz Fashion and Jessica McClintock. Typically the most popular vintage prom dresses tend to be satin, sequined, classic and the classic little black dress. For additional flash choose the asymmetrical hem, the bustier dress, the actual halter, the hanky hem or the traditional Cinderella ball dress.
