FlightAware.com
Today I have been following a little airplane beep across my computer screen knowing full well it is taking my loved ones further and further away from me, half way around the world.
I see that now they are over India with 4 hours 33 more minutes before landing in Singapore. They have a 12 hour layover before the last leg of the trip which is a two hour flight to Kuching.
Today I’ve been working on a quilt that I’m doing for a display at Conference. My phrase is … “He leadeth me in paths of Righteousness for His name sake.”
Today I let those words (God’s Words) sink into my heart knowing He is leading Ethan, Queena, Dorie and James.Holly spent the last two days here sewing with me. What fun!
She is working on a T-Shirt comfort that she auctioned off last year at our church retreat. It is a graduation present so she needs to get it done soon.
I love the way it is turning out!
I’ve sure enjoyed putting my WONKY lettering together with such wonderful company!

Awww. . . one of her T shirts is from Messiah College – that’s where Amanda went to school! Love your lettering! And I am praying for your precious kids and grandkids today!
Oh, that tugged at my heart… when I used Flight aware, my plane dropped off in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean…
I had been thinking of you…
I’m praying for and watching Ethan & Queena too. They really don’t seem so far away with all the technology available. And I’m loving your wonky letters. It will be fun to see how it all comes together. And Holly’s T-Shirt quilt/comforter is the best one I’ve seen yet. It certainly will make someone extra happy. Have fun sewing together.
Such a modern age we live in with all these new things that makes us feel closer to each other! Oh my what an adventure. Love your quilt so far! Special time for you and Holly to be together sewing.
We have watched that blip across our screen many times with son and family in Taiwan. I know they will do well and testify for Christ to those people. Blessings to you and yours as you have that part of your family so far away.
Dau wants a tee-shirt quilt for g-dau. with all her Cheerleading and other things on it. I think I will have friends show my dilaw how to do it and she can put it together this summer.
I love the sashing Holly is using and how it ties the quilt together so well. Your letters are eye-catching, as well. I like to follow Karen’s flights when she goes abroad, too, only I know she is scheduled to return ‘ere long. Blessings to you, Polly. May the peace of God rule in your heart as He leads you. And yours…
I used the computer to watch our granddaughter Elizabeth when she flew to Thailand the first time. A few weeks ago, when she returned, I kept up with her flight by her updates – or her mother’s.
I am looking forward to seeing pictures of your booth at conference!! It sounds so interesting.
Holly, That is the most beautiful t-shirt quilt ever. People will be wanting to place their orders. I watched Ethan and Queena’s flight too. A great prayer reminder. I would love to make some lettering like that. Do you think I need the book. The wonky house quilt I made at Julia’s was and inspiration of the same author.
I’d never heard of FlightAware.com before. That’s pretty cool. Of course we had our own little flight-progress maps on our tv screens in the airplane . . . India seemed to take forever to fly over. But we made it!
