Mississippi
My trip to Mississippi.
A little less then two weeks ago I took a trip down to Mississippi, driving down to Virginia first. The next day I joined my sister Barbara, Father and Mother. Twelve hours is a long drive. Barbara drove most of the way and I got to do a lot of hand-stitching.
The reason for the trip was an invitation from my sister Julia to help her with a quilt presentation to the Mississippi Quilt Association. The quilt guilds of Mississippi get together a couple times a year and have a program and show.
Barbara, Julia and I felt honored to be asked to share in this program.
Here is mother taking a break at our booth. We were so happy to have her with us.

Thanks Julia and Paul for being such great hosts for us.
Saturday evening was Pizza night. Julia makes the best Pizza and it was fun watching the way she does it. This evening for our supper I'm going to try and imitate her.

We enjoyed visiting with the nieces and nephews while down there.
Here's Quinten , Evie and Kirby. Since this picture was taken little Stacy Brian has joined the family.

Amy and Ashton
Craig and Angie
More pictures later of our mini sewing retreat we enjoyed after the week-end.

Oh, Polly. It was just great having you all here. And I have such good memories of our time together. You and Barbara did great with your presentations and your quilts made quite a show. Thanks so much for all you all put into it. And thanks for bringing Father & Mother along. It was a real treat for us.
I was so tickled that it worked out for Glen and I to get in on the fun!! Good memories to be sure!
