Israelites and CMC Conference
“Three Little Kittens have lost their mittens.”I see a future quilter!
Summer and the twins enjoyed showing me the quilts they were working on with these little wooden blocks.
Friday was my big day at Conference.
The women’s program was on Psalm 23. Loice Byler was the speaker. The program included a Shepherd’s Psalm Gallery Walk. Twenty-four women were asked to take a phrase from Psalm 23 and have a booth depicting their phrase. Our prayer was to get the women involved and personally experience Psalm 23 visually.
My phrase was…
“He Leadeth Me in Paths of Righteousness For His Name’s Sake.”One activity I had for the women to participate in was to write on a quilt block. I wanted to hear about the path and journey that God was and is leading them on.
Thanks to Wava for being my right-hand lady in helping in my booth.
Part of my display included a velvet blanket my grandmother Vera had made for my parents that had stitching of my great-grandmother Ida on it too. I had a row of pictures that included both of these women as well as my mother, my sisters, my daughters, my grandchildren–all working with sewing and quilting in the pictures.
The rest of the week I stayed up in Michigan with my grandkids instead of attending conference.
On Saturday, Jessica watched her sister’s four children.
Here’s the gang of 10!It was a hot day, so at noon we took them all swimming!
The funnest 2 hours I’ve had in a long time!Sunday evening the kids were back in the water, but this time not a clear pool with grandma, but in the murky waters in front of Israel’s house.
We headed back to Delaware on Monday morning, bringing Misty Dawn home with us! I’m so happy to have her for a week or two. I wonder what we will get into!

I love that picture of all of them on the steps with the dog!! So cute. Great, beautiful post.
Great post. I also like the picture with the dog – but then I liked all the pictures.
Such fun you have! I took my 10 yr old g-dau and my dilove’s 10 yr old daughter to be when dil marries her dad in Oct, and we had girl’s day out today. Fun but oh was I tired! Had shot in my spine yesterday and was suppose to rest. Yeah, right with our 50th anniversary celebration on Sat.
I love your grand-mothering photos. Great stuff. And that velvet quilt is a treasure. I enjoy your posts as always.
